Being: The State of Existing, presented by Framehouse & Jask Gallery owner Kathleen Miclot, opens on November 4, 2016, at the FrameHouse & Jask Gallery, 100 43rd Street, unit 107, at the Ice House in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh, PA 15201. The opening reception is from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and is free to the public. The exhibition is a body of works from artists found locally in Pittsburgh featuring the human form.
This show will feature work by
Robert Bowden, Paul Bowden, Bill DiBernardi, Leslie Golomb, Tony Havrilla, Deborah Kiss Holtschlag, Cara Livario, Patrick Lee, Duncan MacDiarmid, Mark McLaughlin, Josh Mitchel, Marian Phillips, Joyce Werwie Perry, James Simon, and Kathleen Zimbicki.
The exhibition opens on Friday September 30, 2016 and lasts until Friday October 28, 2016.
All are welcome to join us for the reception on September 30 from 6 pm -9 pm in the gallery.

In addition to Print Group members, the exhibit was open to regional artists who work in printmaking media. Jurors Clayton Merrell and Kathleen Miclot chose work by the following artists: Jo-Anne L. Bates, Chris Calligan, Barbara Broff Goldman, Abigail Franzen-Sheehan, John C. Hanna, Paula Garrick Klein, Thomas J. Norulak, Mick Opalko, Richard Palmer, Elizabeth Rose and Sharon L. Wilcox.

Hadassah Greater Pittsburgh is hosting a special photographic exhibition of
artwork painted on the bare chests of 24 models, 23 women and 1 man.
The models were painted by 14 artists then photographed by 2 photographers.

Friday, May 20th 11 A.M - 7 P.M. * Saturday, May 21st 11A.M - 4 P.M.

Golomb’s content taps into, but isn’t blatantly about, identity or gender poli- tics. Rather, those subjects represent the connective tissue to what she’s really interested in, which is reflecting on how women think through, navigate and express being female in the cultural climate they live in.
